What is eFraud Investigator?

eFraud Investigator is a forensic financial platform from eFraud Services Inc. that turns bank, brokerage and credit card statements into verified, court-ready transaction data. It transcribes each statement page by page, ties every figure to its source page, verifies every transaction against the balances printed on the statement, and presents the results in an interactive dashboard for fund-flow, counterparty and red-flag analysis.

Who uses eFraud Investigator?

Forensic accountants, valuation professionals and CPAs, attorneys (family law, litigation, white-collar and elder law), fraud examiners, private investigators, law enforcement and government agencies, insurance companies and financial institutions. Businesses also use it to review their own accounts when they suspect embezzlement.

What documents can eFraud Investigator process?

Bank, credit union, brokerage and credit card statements, including scanned PDFs and year-long statement sets in a single file. A separate PDF-to-Excel feature transcribes other financial documents that contain tables, such as general ledgers and payroll reports, into labeled Excel worksheets.

How is eFraud Investigator different from OCR-based bank statement converters?

OCR-based tools read characters with templates or gridding, and their errors are typically caught by human reviewers, which adds turnaround time and puts people outside your organization in your case files. eFraud Investigator reads each page with AI and needs no templates, verifies every transaction against the statement’s printed balances, and sends no case data to outside reviewers. Results come back in minutes, not days.

Does eFraud Investigator verify every transaction or only the statement total?

Every transaction. Where a statement prints a running balance on each line, each transaction is verified on its own, and any transaction that does not balance is flagged in red. Where a statement prints only a daily balance, all of that day’s transactions are verified against it. Checking only the statement total can tell you a statement is wrong; per-transaction verification tells you which transaction.

Is the output defensible in court?

eFraud Investigator is built around transcription, not computation: it records what the statement says and does not draw conclusions, so the investigator makes every determination. Every figure links back to its source page, and every correction and deletion is written to a tamper-evident, hash-chained audit trail with the user and time recorded. The methodology is designed to hold up to cross-examination and Daubert scrutiny.

Can I correct the extracted data?

Yes. The correction screen shows the original statement page beside the extracted data. You can correct any field on a transaction or add a missing transaction, and every change is logged in the audit trail.

What analysis does the dashboard include?

One dashboard with tabs for Case Overview, Transaction Detail, Counterparty Analysis, Anomalies & Red Flags, Fund Flow, Counterparty Flow, External Accounts and Checks. It maps transfers between accounts, flags patterns such as structuring, round-dollar amounts and weekend activity, captures payee, date and memo from check images, presents the deposit slips found in statement images, and identifies accounts that receive funds but are not part of the case. A statement inventory flags missing periods and balance breaks between consecutive statements.

Can I categorize transactions for a Florida financial affidavit?

Yes. Transactions can be categorized to the line items of the Florida Family Law Financial Affidavit (Form 12.902(c)), which saves family law attorneys and forensic accountants hours of manual sorting.

Who can see my case data?

Your organization controls access. Every user signs in with two-step verification, and your Primary Administrator adds and removes users, assigns them to cases, and can download a complete case backup as an Excel workbook or delete a case at any time. eFraud does not send your documents to outside human reviewers, AI processing stays in the United States, and eFraud staff access is limited to troubleshooting.

How long does processing take?

Minutes, not days. Time varies with the number and complexity of statements, and no human review queue is involved.

How is eFraud Investigator priced?

Three self-serve plans: Pay As You Go, Monthly Subscription and Prepaid Bundle. There is no long-term contract, and you can start with a free trial of up to 50 pages.

How do I find embezzlement in my business bank statements?

Look for payments to unfamiliar payees, checks out of number sequence, round-dollar transfers, transfers to accounts you don’t recognize, and activity that doesn’t match normal business patterns. Doing this by hand across a year or more of statements is slow and easy to get wrong. eFraud Investigator puts every transaction from every account into one dashboard, so these patterns are flagged automatically for you to review.

Is eFraud Services the same company as eFraud Prevention?

No. eFraud Services Inc. is a Naples, Florida company, founded in 2020, that makes eFraud Investigator forensic financial software. It is not affiliated with eFraud Prevention, a separate company that provides fraud-awareness content to credit unions.
